A CRIMINOLOGICAL ANALYSIS OF JUVENILE DELINQUENCY IN MASS FIGHTING BEHAVIOR

Abstract

This study aims to analyze juvenile delinquency in the form of mass fighting behavior from a criminological perspective by identifying its causes, influencing factors, and possible prevention efforts. The findings indicate that juvenile delinquency leading to mass fights is largely influenced by psychological factors such as emotional instability and weak self-control, as well as family conditions, particularly broken home environments that affect adolescents’ development. In addition, both internal and external factors contribute to the occurrence of mass fights, including peer pressure, misguided solidarity, negative competition, environmental influences from family, school, and society, as well as exposure to violence in media and urban life complexities. Mass fighting behavior has significant negative impacts not only on the individuals involved but also on society and government, both materially and morally. Therefore, efforts to address juvenile delinquency should be carried out through preventive and repressive measures, including strengthening family roles, improving educational institutions, promoting moral and social awareness, and implementing legal sanctions when necessary, so that adolescents can develop into responsible individuals and avoid destructive behaviors.
