CORRELATION OF INTERNET MEDIA USE WITH SPIRITUAL DEVELOPMENT OF ELEVENTH GRADE STUDENTS OF IMMANUEL CHRISTIAN PRIVATE HIGH SCHOOL

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine the correlation between the use of internet media and the spiritual development of class XI students of Immanuel Christian Private High School in 2023. This research was conducted on class XI students of Immanuel Christian Private High School Medan. The research will be conducted in June - July 2023. The sample in this research is class XI students of Immanuel Christian Private High School Medan, totaling 30 people. The small population makes the sampling method used is the census method, where all populations are used as research samples. The independent variable in this research is the use of internet media, while the dependent variable is the spiritual development of students. Data collection was carried out using a questionnaire. Data analysis was carried out descriptively and using Spearman Rank correlation analysis ( rs ). The results of the research show that the use of internet media with the spiritual development of students is positive and significant with a calculated t value of 6.75> t 0.05 (2.045). This means that the use of internet media can improve the spiritual development of students.
